The Alpine Challenge is the fruit of a thirty year friendship between two classic car enthusiasts, one British who has owned classic cars since he was a teenager and today runs a leading Classic Car sales and restoration company, the other Swiss, also passionate about classic cars in addition to being a qualified FIVA rally Marshall and participating himself in classic regularity rally events.

Having participated in Regularity Stage events in the Swiss Alps, the idea of creating a Club to offer enthusiasts the opportunity of experiencing the challenges of driving the same routes was developed.

They created the Alpine Challenge to offer participants something unique- an informal event involving some of the most challenging and beautiful high mountain driving conditions in Europe with a mild competitive element adaptable to the choice of each participant
